About me

Hi! I'm Marian MacLucas and I live in the Adelaide Hills with my family where I combine work, gardening and a love of nature and wildlife. 

I started my first business in the Travel Industry when I was 26 years old.  While later raising my children I completed a Bachelor of Management (Marketing).  Being community spirited I worked for not-for-profit community organisations over the next decade. Looking for more flexibility, balance and personal growth in my life than a corporate job could offer, I established Marketing Hat in October 2013. I am a "soloist" for this reason and love my life!  I'd like to help you love yours!!

Marketing has certainly changed rapidly over the last decade, but with the right foundations combined with  new technologies, I can work with you in your business to create consistent strategic marketing for long term sales growth.

I've worked with 50 local business owners since I started late 2013 and have great, and in many cases ongoing, working relationships with them. Check out some of their reviews.

I am also currently the Marketing Coordinator for the Mount Barker Business Group which comprises around 60 local hills businesses.  

When I'm not working for my Marketing Hat clients, I spend the majority of my time volunteering to save and protect our local native wildlife.  I rescue and care for possums and koalas in the Adelaide Hills area.
We are currently establishing a new wildlife organisation which will start taking on new volunteers in July 2019.
